As you can probably tell by the name of the road they are located on, the winery is up in the hills above Yountville with stunning views of Napa Valley. Grab a sandwich and a bottle of their excellent Sauvignon Blanc and sit out at their picnic table overlooking the valley. It does not get much better!! The winery is tiny - only six acres so productions are very small, but the wines are very good. We were very pleasantly surprised that the owner, Olga Keever, served us in the tasting room and also gave us a tour of the winery and caves. The attention to detail is impressive and the service was excellent. 2002 was their first vintage so it will be interesting to see how their wines hold up, but they were tasting well when we tried them. The only downside we noted was that we were charged the $10 tasting fee even though our group spent about $1000 on wine, but with the very limited productions they have, they have to make money some way I suppose!! Definitely recommended |

Oct 13th, 2007 | | 100% Cabernet. The bottle we tried had been open for much of the day and was drinking very well. Beautiful nose, very smooth, well balanced wine. The tannins were very smooth. Definitely not a big, aggressive Napa Cab. It will be interesting to see how this wine evolves but the nicest wine of the day. 850 cases | | 2006 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc ($18) | Rating: C

Very crisp, full and fruity. We were pleasantly surprised by the Sauvignon Blanc. This would be very nice on a sunny day. Dave thought is was "one of the best Sauvignon Blancs I have had in a long time". Good value. Only 59 cases | | 2006 Napa Valley, Cabernet Franc Rose ($25) | Rating: B
