2306 Magnolia Drive, Healdsburg, CA 95448 Phone: 800 405 5987 Hours: Open Daily 10am - 5pm Club/Discounts: 20% - 25% Discounts Tasting Fees: No Charge We stumbled across Alderbook and were surprised to see the parking lot full of cars as the places we came from were empty. Low and behold a wine event for members was on. We managed to get in for a $10 fee, which allowed us to taste the wines and have some nibbles. The tasting room caters to bigger crowds and has a lot of retail goods available. The sort of tasting room you see in Napa. Nice place. It was pretty busy the day we were there and we had a fun time drinking the wine and meeting the locals. I would expect the place to be usually quiet in December. We thought the wines were average... Nothing special |

| 2004 Wind Machine Zinfandel ($34) | Rating: B-C Dec 8th, 2007 |
| Definitely the best wine at the winery. A very nice, well structured Zin. Good fruit with a nice finish. |
| 2005 Old Vine Zinfandel ($19) | Rating: B Dec 8th, 2007 |
| Getting better (could not get much worse!!). Smooth Zin. Not too spicy for an Old Vine Zin. Good price |
| 2004 Carignane ($19) | Rating: A-B Dec 8th, 2007 |
| The tasting notes say: "Pronounced KarenYawn, Full of briar and black fruit with wonderful spice". We would have stopped at the Yawn. Boring wine. Flat |
| 2004 Terlato Vineyards Syrah ($35) | Rating: A-B Dec 8th, 2007 |
| Oh dear. Smells like old socks. "Do we have to taste this?". Not very nice wine. Stay with the Zinfandels |
| 2005 Chardonnay ($18) | Rating: A-B Dec 8th, 2007 |
| Oh, oh. Butter. "The reason why we do not drink Chardonnay" |
