Collectors Wines: $5 each We all enjoyed visiting the new tasting room for Girard in Yountville. The tasting room is pretty much a wine bar, and you can call in without an appointment or call ahead and get a private tasting for $40 each. The wine bar is large, with different rooms available, and is very comfortable. I was also impressed with the wines.
It is nice having the tasting room in the town of Yountville as people can walk from hotels without having to drive. |

| 2005 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon - Pritchard Hill ($75) | Rating: C Dec 30th, 2008 |
| Robert Parker gave this wine 93 points and claimed it to be the finest wine to come out of Girard. We tasted it straight out of the bottle and it is a beautiful wine that will only get better. Big fruit and finish. Very tasty. I would like to come back to this in a few years as the rating will no doubt improve |

| Not as big as the Estate Cab but still a very nice wine with good structure and a smooth finish. The wine we drank had been open 1+ days so we would like to try this again. Will improve with time |
