1859 Hillview Place, St Helena, CA 94574 Phone: 707 963 0804 Hours: By Appointment Only Club/Discounts: Mailing List Tasting Fees: $20; No Charge with Purchase Trespass Vineyards was started in 1996 by Don and Dana Gallagher. It is a very small winery with only 5 acres of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc; with a production of 1000 cases. All of the wines are unfiltered and have high alcohol levels of over 15%. Because of the size, you definitely need to call ahead to get to taste the wines. There is no tasting room as such. We tasted the wines outside on their patio (luckily it had not started to rain), and the views are very pretty. Overall Don and Dana are very friendly, the location is beautiful and we enjoyed the wines. A good start to our day!! |

| 2006 Cabernet Franc ($46) | Rating: C Apr 10th, 2010 |
| Our first wine of the day and a very enjoyable Cab Franc. Good nose, smooth tannins. "One for the ladies". |
| 2007 Rendezvous ($67) | Rating: C Apr 11th, 2010 |
| Big wine. Long tannins. Very chewy. 68% Cab Franc, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon. Definitely needs some time and it will be interesting to see how it ages. Need to come back to this. A lot of very good competition at this price level. |
| 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon ($58) | Rating: B-C Apr 11th, 2010 |
| 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that is drinking well. Smooth tannins. Again a lot of competition at this price |
| 2005 Merlot ($42) | Rating: B-C Apr 11th, 2010 |
| 100% Merlot and 275 cases. A very earthy nose (as one of the group said: "it smells like cow shit"). Not huge fruit / body |
