They are a very small production winery (about 1000 cases), so make sure to call ahead for an appointment. Allora means "Whatever" in Italian and make sure to ask Terry about how they came up with the name; it is a great story.
Terry is definitely a character and had us all laughing with his stories. The tasting room is in the cellar underneath their house where we tasted their wines and chatted with Terry and one of his daughters (Kelly). It is definitely a fun place to visit. Be warned though that Terry will try to sell you a lot more than the wine, as they have their own wine glasses, decanter, chocolates, etc. We enjoyed ourselves, the wines and the conversations. |
